The Artistry in Motion 5k sponsored by the Lyme-Old Lyme Education Fund on Sept. 13 was an event that one would have thought was held for years.

The organizers, volunteers, and sponsors all deserve a large salute for bringing such a successful event to a small town. The field was lined with volunteers, local neighbors came out to cheer the runners on and the post race refreshments were fresh and in abundance.

All proceeds will benefit programs sponsored by the Lyme-Old Lyme Education Fund, so mark your calendars for fall 2009 to watch for a race to participate in that you will not regret.
